has any sold any e books on line ? like amzon or shopify?

I have some nice short stories I wrote before internet , I never try to sell them
I did enter on in a contest no luck. What I like to know if some can make money selling short stories on Amzon or shopify, I know shopify cost something. Amzon say it free to set up and sell , Yes I know my spelling and grammar bad, before I publish something I will have a friend proof read for me
to make sure every thing OK
say I sell my first e story for $5.00 I think get $3.00 from it,
let me know if any my lotter has sold any e short stories on line.
