There are times in our lives when negativity spreads its rein on us. At those times, we try to reduce our stress in different ways. I prefer reading my favourite books-mostly fiction. Or sometimes a Travel show on TV. What is your choice?

@peachpurple that is great! @Corbin5 yes music also helps. Of late, I have been less into listening music.

It depends really! When it is the type that I need to solve a problem (I am in control of the situation), then I continue with my duties, sleep and pretend to not think about it (so that I could have a clearer mind) or chatting to experts or wiser people. When things are out of my control, I walk, playing solitaire, gardening, listening to music (completely anti-social). If it is a matter of waiting for some delivery, or for some certain outcome (not affecting my life one bit), then I watch movies, reading books, gardening etc.

I write. For me that breaks every negative thought and is a great stress reliever.
