Everyone hates something or someone. It’s just human nature, I guess. I hate spiders. I know they must have a use and most are harmless, but I hate them anyway. Sorry. Today, though, my vocabulary word is: MISOGYNIST What does that word mean? A misogynist is someone who hates women. The sentence I found it in was: “Rumor has it that the confirmed bachelor is actually a misogynist.” I don’t think that is necessarily true. What do you think? I need to tell you a funny story. A long time ago there was a program called "Kids Say The Darndest Things" with Art Linkletter. I loved to watch that show. One day, Mr. Linkletter asks some 5 year old children if they knew the meaning of the word: Bachelor. The kids gave some cute answers but none really knew what the word meant. I just happened to have a 5 year old son and I was sure that he would know what the word meant and so I asked him. "Do you know what a bachelor is?" His answer was so hilarious. He said "Sure Mommy, it's something you turn pancakes over with." I guess it sounded like Spatula to him.
