#17 Odd Facts

Just one more ODD fact for you today. It's almost midnight and I haven't been on here for hours. I just wanted to get a couple more posts in for today. Edgar Allen Poe lived right here in Richmond, Virginia for a while. There is a museum dedicated to him in downtown Richmond. I have never been in it. However, today, I read something that seemed a little ODD to me and I thought I would share it with you. His most famous poem was "The Raven" and it was actually recognized as a work of genius and it was published in the New York paper. The ODD fact is that it took him a year to collect the payment. How much did he get paid for that famous poem? Would you believe $10?
