What are friends for, if not to lift you up and point out when you get it wrong. Praise God for these friends. In today's Bible Study, I said God brings punishment to us when we sin. However, that's not entirely true. God doesn't punish us because every good and perfect gift is from God. What is true is that when we do sin, he allows Satan to come against us and trouble us. Consider the life of Job. Satan wanted to bring trouble to him, but God wouldn't let him because he had a hedge around Job and his family to protect him from anything Satan could do to him. However, Satan went to God and 'reasoned' with him that Job wouldn't be so pious if there was trouble in his life. To prove his point, God allowed the hedge to fall and Satan to bring trouble to Job's life. However, there were boundaries. Satan couldn't kill Job. And Job's test proved to be his greatest victory. Everyone sins. None of us is perfect. There will be times in our lives when we face those troubles mentioned in the Daily Bible Study. It is in those times we do need to examine our life and see where we erred, and why God is allowing Satan to come against us. In the examination, you will see whether God is testing you for your faithfulness, or whether it is to show you your sin and bring you back to God. I hope it's only a test, but if you have sinned, you have the opportunity to confess it. Thank you Jennifer @LovingMyBabies. I appreciate you pointing this out to me. I am accountable to God for the studies I bring and if I get it wrong, and I am fallible, I'm glad I have wonderful friends to point it out to me. Thanks for reading.

I love your daily bible studies. Its why I picked up my phone to find today's. I need something uplifting! No one is perfect. Its when we begin to teach others do we really begin to learn it! :)

Yes, we do. I'm always learning. Thank you for reading my studies, though they aren't mine, but God's work in me. I guess I wasn't listening very carefully this morning.

And as with Job God could be allowing it to prove our faith and love for Him. Job's "friends" told him you must be doing something wrong for God to do this to you. They were not friends at all because that's not why God allowed it. He knew Job would still be faithful to Him no matter what he went through or what was taken away. Your welcome, thank you for taking it as it was and not being offended because that's not how I meant it. I'm very grateful you knew I wasn't trying to be offensive at all.

I knew you weren't being offensive. God also tests us as he did Abraham. We need to know the difference between a test, and what God is doing in our lives. It's all for his glory.
