SSI is getting a raise!!!

Well... The government has decided to be generous. They are giving SSI recipients a $15 a month raise, starting in January. Whooo Hoooo!!! That is like 3/4 of a tank of gas for me. This past year, they gave us nothing. However, family services took $2 away from our food stamps, which I guess was to counteract the $2 raise, SSI gave us the previous year. LOL Lord... I hope next year, we don't lose $15 in food, to counteract the raise we got this year. It is hard enough to eat on what little they give us anyway. But would not be surprised if they did...

The fifteen in ss counteracts the fifteen in food so you break even.

That's good news. Pensioners got it as well? Is it going to be added to the regular amount?
