What If Trump Declares Martial Law & Cancels 2018 & 2020 Elections?

The problem is, nobody has told Trump there are limits and I think he'll push things as far as he can. He wants to be like Putin and the other dictators he so admires. How long will it be until he begins jailing journalists or even having them killed?

I think so too but there are enough who would side with him to make it a true bloodbath. I definitely think the right side will win out in the end if there's any justice in the world but not before many people get hurt or even killed.

@arthurchappell I know, not unlike our last Civil War except it won't be drawn totally along geographical lines. There will be divisions within families I'm sure, in fact I can see that happening in my own family. I'm HOPING my relatives who are Trump supporters will draw the line at martial law. I'm pretty sure they will but I was also pretty shocked to learn they'd actually supported Trump...

There (PLEASE note the spelling!) is no "deep state" trying to take over. The FBI, CIA and the career members of the Justice Department have done nothing wrong. What something needs to be done about is the corruption within this illegitimate administration, the obstruction of justice which you've confirmed just by your post and the interference by Russia which is still taking place as we speak and which Donald has no interest in trying to stop. You might want to go back to the days of slavery and you might be willing to give up your own right to vote but I am NOT and neither are the majority of Americans. If there were such as thing as God there's surely be no such thing as a Trump in our White House.

He thinks he has total control of the Justice Department, that they owe him their loyalty. They do NOT, they owe him NOTHING, they take an oath to protect the Constitution not the so-called "POTUS". THERE (PLEASE note the correct spelling already!) is strong evidence of collusion and obstruction. Have you even paid attention to what your honey has been saying? He repeated to the Times 16 times that there was no collusion but then he said even if there were it's not illegal. Guess what? Something doesn't have to be "illegal" to be IMPEACHABLE. You still didn't answer the original question. Would you accept it if Trump declared martial law and tried to cancel the 2018 and/or 2020 elections? Would you somehow find a way to justify it, presumably by listening to the idiots on Fox News? I can't resist, I have to ask...why on earth would God wait until NOW and choose the most sinful, immoral, despicable and deplorable creature to ever even run for political office to "use in a very Big way"? @anniepa Trump is the President of the United States.....We do not have a dictator....President Trump is following the constitution, and our Laws..... Open your eyes their is a deep state...and we will find out what exactly the fbi, cia, and the justice department have been doing to break the laws....It is just starting to come out...They will all go down when all the truth comes out.... Their is no collusion, no obstruction,..I never confirmed anything of that nature... Nobody is taking away anyone's right to vote....... God is using President Trump in a very Big way......All the Truth will come out, just like God said it would....

I totally agree. There's still a lot that hasn't come out but I think it all will eventually. I just hope it comes out before it's too late and that he doesn't have too many people brainwashed for it to matter.

He sure has and he's made me feel betrayed. After realizing the low regard to which women are held here I have more of an idea of how other groups of people, you know the non-white, non-Christian and/or non-straight people, must feel and I know they are and have been treated much worse. When it comes to Trump all of them plus all women are just pieces of meat. It's alright to abuse us, insult us, bully us and discriminate against us. And too many Americans are also alright with all of that.

No, it's never happened but so many things have been happening here that never happened before so that doesn't mean a thing. We never had a Russian asset living in our White House before either, but here we are...

@saritflor Trump seems to be more loyal to Russia and to Putin than to his own country. He undermines our intelligence agencies, our Justice Department, our media and our citizens but has yet to ever say an unkind word about Putin, who is a ruthless killer. Some have said he could be an asset, either knowingly or not. Someone brought up the movie "No Way Out". I'd thought of that months ago, the similarities are chilling.
