A delicate and slow task

Well, I sent a cabinet and a pair of speakers home and realized I had no speaker projects to work on for my "customers." So I ambled into my kitchen and found a pair of early '70s KLH Model 17 loudspeakers that I own. I think I got them in trade for some restoration work, but I'm not sure. Anyway, I had restored the cabinets months ago, and sprayed the grille frames with black paint after that, but never got around to putting fabric on the grille frames. So that has become my project, along with some coasters, while I'm awaiting my next project. I'll do a bit at a time, with my hot glue gun, so I can draw things out. I really don't want these to be "done." I've said I'm going to make them a part of my permanent collection, but I already have too many loudspeakers around here.

The Horse, without a project? That's impossible, of course! We all want to see updated photos of these, as you go

I'm sure I'll take more. The (filthy) screens that were on them were dark. I tossed them. I'm going with my usual "Danish Modern" look. I'm actually going to look and see if I have any old "completed" KLH 17 photos. I think I do.

@TheHorse Yow, those are already looking beautiful! I really like the 'Danish Modern' look, you've chosen

@kobesbuddy Yes, the picture (with the comment) is of a pair I did a few years ago. I think I sold them. The pair I'm working on now still looks as it does in the photo atop this post. I didn't work on them this morning.

@TheHorse I did. I just did a couple more inches on each side. They're still looking good. I need to buy a bigger house.

If you do not need them trade them or sell them so you come out ahead,

But the pleasure I get from having them around is great. I will have to "thin the herd," though.

Too many loudspeakers? Is there such a thing?

Well, actually, no. But I do have space limitations.

I have listened to the speakers extensively. They sound excellent.
