It is just four days after Christmas and the scams artist in Lincoln County North Carolina have been making telephone calls to citizens in the same county claiming to be police officers asking for money to avoid going to jail for outstanding warrants on Friday.
The persons receiving these false phone calls did contact the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office to ask the authorities if this a real telephone call or a scam artist who tells the caller to pay a fee using a Money Pak Card.
The Lincoln Sheriff's County Office is telling the citizens in their county it is the work of a scam artist since the Sheriff's Office does not accept any money to remove an outstanding warrant for a call to be arrested.
I am sure you have heard of the saying "If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is too good to be true."

Scams, scams, and more scams! The sad part, they target the elderly, in most cases!

@kobesbuddy What a shame that some people do like to steal money for doing dishonest work.
