Over the past few years, I have become more comfortable with knitting socks. The thing is, I have been knitting from the same pattern for the past year. I decided it was time to start trying other techniques and patterns in the sock knitting realm.
There are several yarn-related podcasts that I watch on Youtube and one young lady in particular is a sock knitting machine. In January of 2016, she knitted a little over 30 pairs of socks throughout that month. Yes, that comes up to a little over 2 socks per day! I don't know how she did it!!
Anyway, this young lady is sponsoring a sock knitting club for 2018 and I decided to join. I will be knitting a pair of socks every 2 months from a design that she will be releasing at the beginning of the 2 months. Each design will have a different heel design and fun designs for the body of the sock.
Today, I received the link for the pattern of the first pair of socks and printed my copy of it. Tomorrow, while I am at the yarn store for knit group, I will choose the yarn for the socks. I can't wait to get started on a new venture of knitting outside my one sock pattern box.

You can learn! You can take lessons at your local yarn store. Joann's Fabrics has classes of different crafts. See if a friend or relative could teach you to knit. Or you can watch learn to knit tutorials on Youtube. There are lots of them!

@bluerubymoon53 You know, I checked the local classes at Michaels, but I never thought about Joann's Fabrics. Thanks for the suggestion!

@AmbiePam You're welcome.
The classes at Joann's are for beginners. One of the ladies in the knit group I go to used to teach beginning knitting and crocheting at the Joann's store here.
