I Got A New Calendar

I went to the grocery store a few days ago and while I was at checkout, I noticed something at the end of the belt. There was a short stack of thin publications and on the outside front was the word "recipes". I asked the cashier, "Is that a calendar?" She told me that it is. I had the grocery bagger to put one in the bag for me. And it was free! It's a good thing that I noticed the calendars or I wouldn't have had one to start the new year with.
Do you all have your calendars for the new year?

i have one..only one i really need.had to buy it tho..people don't give them out for free much up here anymore.

I have one that I taped to the closet door in the tiny hallway. I will be carrying one in my project bag for either my knitting or for when I go to the rehearsals for the plays I do costuming for.

Sometimes the calendar does double duty. Like the ones from the grocery stores could have the calendar AND recipes or money-saving coupons.

It is hard to get free calendars these days. They used to be given out all the time.

I know! It used to be that you could get a free calendar at gas stations, insurance companies, grocery stores, some department stores, and lots more places. It was pretty much a fluke that I spotted them when I did.

I love, love, love calendars. I always have one hanging on my door, I buy corresponding stickers for each month/season, decorate them, write all kinds of notes on them, spend hours picking out the perfect calendar for each new year (it needs to have good photos, you know what I mean.) I love them.

I like calendars, too. But they can get pretty expensive! I like calendars that have photos of nature, kittens, or puppies. I also like the ones with funny stuff.
