I finished reading Dark Tide by William P Kennedy. I think it was one of the books a woman gave me and my mother tried to read it because a mirror got stuck to the book. I found it on Open Library and I converted it to my Kindle. Big Warning: there is some violence. Before I begin, I want to say the book is a little slow at first. This book shows you that money really the root of all evil. Money caused them to lose control. This book is about two couples who went sailing in the Caribbean. The two couples are Bill and Jeanne Chester (I didn't like her) and Howard (I really didn't like him) and Marilyn Hunter. Howard had picked a charter sailing boat that they would use for a week. Also going to the Caribbean was a young woman named Cindy. Cindy was courier for a wealthy man. She was carrying camera cases. The cases were a decoy. Filled in them were bonds that she is supposed to trade for diamonds. But Cindy's meeting went deadly and she ran to the same boat as the couples were on. Cindy knew the captain of the charter boat. The couples came prisoners until they found out about the money. Then Howard lost it and "accidentally" killed the captain. He was going to kill Cindy too, but Bill threw the money overboard. I sorta liked this book. It did have a good ending. Now I'm reading Stealing Faces by Michael Prescott.
