Though born in Bethlehem, Jesus is mostly recognized for being from Nazareth, Joseph’s home town where Jesus was raised. Trying to preach and perform miracles in Nazareth, Jesus is largely unsuccessful. Many seem surprised to see him making the claim that he does regarding his divinity. They saw him grow up. They know he is unlikely to be sincere. In Mark’s Gospel, he is referred to as the Carpenter from Nazareth. Matthew changes this to carpenter’s son, but that could be explained as Jesus learning carpentry from his father, to have a trade before commencing his ministry. Luke moves the sceptical, heckling audience from Nazareth to Galilee, the shores of which feature in much of Jesus’s ministry. Told by critics that he Seems to be healing few people despite claims to be curing many, Jesus points out that Elijah And Elisha each had days of only modest success too. The rather flippant arrogant answer backfires. The crowd finds Jesus comparing himself to the great prophets unbearable and chase him intent on throwing him over a mountain cliff, but Jesus escapes unscathed. After rejection by the people of Bethseda, Chorazin, Decapolis and Capernaum. Jesus promises that the towns will fall as Sodom & Gomorrah did, which seems rather embittered, aggressive and intolerant of him. John’s Gospel reports that Jesus’s attempt to create the communion mass involving taking bread a his flesh and wine as his blood causes many followers to leave the church in revulsion, but the Apostles stay loyal despite this failure. Such observations are a more realistic look at the life of Biblical prophets and would-be messiahs than much of the Gospels. Not everyone took the claims made by and about Jesus at face value. To be honest I take all of these ancient stories and claims with a grain of salt. To base your whole life off the bible doesn't make since to me as these stories were most likely altered throughout the years and only told by one perspective. I think we can learn from them, love, peace, patience, kindness, meekness and self control just to name a few. Other than that, whether or not Jesus is who everyone says he is is irrelevant, just take the positives from the stories and try to improve in a positive way. Some may disagree with me :)

The bible has been changed and rewritten so many times over the years that it is no where near what was really written. Just beleive in God and Jesus and all is good.
