I Need To Organize

I have 3 things that are pretty much a mess. One, my knitting needles are all over the place. Two, the yarn is in bags. Three, the patterns for yarn projects are in no particular order.
For the knitting needles, I need to buy a few boxes in which they would easily fit. I could also use divider cards on which to write the size of the needles. I most often use circular needles and they can be place into the little plastic bag they were in when purchased. OR I could make an organizer out of fabric and make pockets for the different size needles.
With the yarn being in bags that are not clear, it is hard to see what kind of yarn there is and the different colors. I think it would be best to buy a few shelving units on which I could place the yarn in different types and colors.
I have all kinds of patterns all over the place. They are in bags with their project, in a couple of 3-ring-binders, and in a stack on my table. I just need to gather them up, punch holes in them, and then place them in a binder that is dedicated to that kind of item. Ex.: one binder for shawls, another binder for socks, etc.
Hmmmm. Sounds like a trip to Joann's and Walmart next week for items to make my yarn world less cluttery.

I also have to do some organising with my craft items like stamps, stickers, and wash tapes. They're all cluttered and I need to find something where I could easily reach then whenever I have a need for them.

I have a closet with shelves. I could take the yarn out of the bags that are in that closet and just put them on the shelves so that I can easily see what I have. Why haven't I thought of that already?

I'm pretty sure I will. I just need to figure what will work best for each category.
