Talk about cruelty to a small dog in Staten Island New York on New Years Eve. A small dog was placed inside a duffel bag with his bed and a tennis ball. The dog who looks like a Dachshund was found a group of animal rescuers in a park in Staten Island who were able to taking him to a veterinarian after Doreen Murphy who is the foster mother of the Dachshund who was given the name Thor since the dog was thawing out when he was rescued. The events that led the animal rescue team to rescue Thor came on Sunday afternoon when someone texted Melissa Chapman who is a member of an animal rescue group that they found a dog tied inside a duffel bag. The person who found Thor was able to release the dog from the duffel bag but Thor fled the scene. Several groups of animal rescuers found Thor one hour later at Allison Pond. Murphy intends to keep Thor for at least one month before she have Thor up for adoption as soon as he has fully recovered from near death experience. However Murphy will be very careful to have Thor join a family that will abuse him for the remainder of his life.

That is true since the cold weather could have killed Thor the dog if he was not rescued.

Poor Thor. I hope that family would be fined for their act of animal cruelty.

Me too since the dog does not deserve that kind of treatment during extremely cold weather.
