I had to start this post since this is one of the best books Ive read lately by far! This is a memoir of a gal, haunted by her own demons, failed marraige, string of one night stand, heroin use and general self destruction makes the monumental decision to take a solo hike / backpacking through the Pacific Crest Trail. The entire span of it. I am a little fuzzy on the exact mileage details but the PCT spans from Mexico up through either Oregon or Washington, somewhere around 3000 miles. She manages to complete her journey in 3 months with very limited money andnot an experienced backpacker. This book follows her journey. From scary experiences such as scaling snowy mountains, running into bears, hitch-hiking, dealing with physical exhaustion. To more positive notes, meeting fellow backpackers along her way, doing some much needed self reflection. I love books like this. It stuns me that its a true story. Also I heard this became a movie but have not seen it. Have you read anything that has blown you away lately? And would you ever consider such an adventure?!

Seems like an interesting book. My last read was 'Harry Potter and the cursed child' and I am currently reading Dan Brown's Origin.
