Do you have an awesome talent or a hobby that you can't make money out of? Or a very underdeveloped skill which is a long way from ever becoming income generating? On the other hand, are you in a profession/occupation or a career or self-employed gig that has become your means of livelihood?

I'm pretty awesome at being me. Unfortunately that seems to be very under-rated skill in the wider world!! One day I hope to get enough time to develop my writing skills and eventually get the three novels I started into something actually resembling novels and maybe self-publish to earn a bit of cash. Let's just say that so far my writing has earned me enough to keep me in software development!!!

@WorDazza Oh I'm sure with proper persuasion you'll come up with something that resembles Kim Kardashian's Book of Selfies. except....without the fake tan and botox.

@Theresaaiza Not worth it. So much of my life has been conducted under the cloak of the Official Secrets Act that what I could write about would amount to little more than a pamphlet. And if you believe that you'll believe anything!!!!

My guitar playing is severely under developed since I began lessons six months ago and I sometimes earn a bit as a background actor or get to do a commercial. That is more of a retirement hobby than an income.

I have not improved on my guitar playing since I first touched a guitar in high school , that's like 20 something years ago. "sometimes earn a bit as a background actor or get to do a commercial" - you're a celebrity?! Wow!

@JamesHxstatic Still a huge feat compared to most people. :) That's good to know you do earn a bit from things you like doing.

@Theresaaiza No, not a celebrity, just a hobby that occasionally pays.

I am quite the creative sort but not too good that I can make a business out of it. For now, I make handmade crafts and give them as gifts

Yes, that is true. It's fun to have a place where we can do what we enjoy the most and earn a bit from it on top of that.

Both. I like to make crafts as a hobby. I would love to sell the crafts on-line, but am not all that intelligent on how to do so

Me too. I don't know where to start. I have zero confidence about my work. I feel like someone out there will always have a work more worthy of display. I'm afraid people won't buy my stuff because it's crap.

Any skill can be develop as long as one is interested. Talent is overrated.

Problem with me is I do not make time to push past the limits. Maybe once I get a more stable job and I can afford to actually buy quality materials, then I can effectively practice.
