Have you tried the Ketogenic Diet?

A few of my friends have jumped into the latest diet craze called the Ketogenic Diet or Keto for short. It's somewhat like the South Beach diet, they say. You ditch the carbs and go for high protein, high fiber and high fat foods. Yes, you read that right: HIGH FAT I haven't seen particular results as far as health is concerned, but I did notice that these people have lost weight. I guess it largely depends on what you're concerned about, whether you wish to trim down quickly or go for a low-fat, high-fiber diet. Personally I still believe in a diet that includes plenty of leafy greens, fruits, and less or zero processed food. Although the term "processed" can be quite tricky as the organic food you get can still be processed (meaning, altered or manipulated by humans or machines). Do you follow a certain kind of diet? What works for your health and fitness goals?

Yes I am KETO and IF. 18:6 and have lost around 4 lbs since starting it.

I believe, it is unhealthy eating a lot of fatty foods. Especially for someone like me, that has a high cholesterol every now and then, so I avoid fatty foods.

I go on an intermittent fast but I have never followed a diet plan. The best diet that you can do is the diet that you can adhere to consistently.

I do practice fasting at least once a week. I haven't adopted any popular diet except the one that my mother has taught me, and that's to eat more fruits and vegetables on top of everything else.

No I don't follow any form of diet. I just fast or lessen my intake of rice. I eat foods high in fat

Less rice is good, IMO. And as long as you're able to burn the fat, that's good too.

I watch this before and this was supposed to be recommended by a nutritionist or doctor, not something of a life style. leafy greens and other vegetables are still the best.

Yes, a lot has been said about this keto diet. It's pretty interesting. But I know I'd still go for a diet that is largely plant-based.
