Read Ezekiel 40-42 When you build anything, you need to give it an exact measurement or it won’t turn out the way you planned. In these three chapters, Ezekiel has a vision of an angel measuring the temple in heaven. Everything was measured, gates, walls, windows, porches, doorways, arches, pillars, and stairs. Taking the measurements given, you could render an exact measurement of the temple and everything in it. As Christians, one day you will see this temple, and rejoice to do so. You will find the measurements given again in the book of Revelation chapter 21. God doesn’t leave anything to chance, not with the temple in heaven, or his people on earth. All were and are created with the same attention to detail. As you go about your lives, you need to give the same attention to detail God does. If it matters to God, it should matter to you. Let’s pray: Father, help me to pay attention to the details in my life, knowing that doing so, I will not have a meaningless life, but one that will have a solid foundation and purpose. In Jesus’ name, I pray, amen. Copyright © 31 January 2018 by Valerie Routhieaux Image courtesy of Pixabay

Thank you for the reminder, I should definitely pay more attention to details.

Funny that I found this just after writing about my work on the fence in Montana. I measured everything carefully and rarely had to "cut twice."

@just4him In carpentry, we say, "measure twice, cut once." In life, it's important to consider all of our behaviors carefully, and make sure that they are noble. Those are my thoughts, anyway.

Thank you! Its all to easy to gloss over the little details. But they really are so important. Its what makes us be us all thanks to god.
