Just as the question, what do you usually do to the children's books when they grow up?

Well I collect childrens books, so I keep the ones that I truly like. I have given books to other young children we know. Others have been donated to charities/organizations that could use more books. My kids often like to keep to the stories that they love, so we keep these books for a very long time .

I like collecting children books too, not only the Chinese ones, but also the English ones which are very expensive here.

@bobosusanwang I want to collect Japanese ones, but as they are imported, they are very expensive too.

@much2say Well, you just feel the same way as me. Is there any website that we can share our second hand books for some one who wants them? Either for free or at a discounted price? Maybe digital one.

I have a book series, Book Trails, that my mom bought in the 40s just after she had my oldest brother. It has entertained 4 generations since then and I just inherited them for my grandchildren who are 5 and under. There are also some books saved from my childhood by my mother, bless her, that I passed to my children in the 80s. Now I have those and the Book Trails to pass onto my grandchildren and I will save their favorite books for their children. The others, the ones they are lukewarm about, I give away because some child somewhere will love that book!

Donated the books and the toys to the neighborhood day care center. Some, I gave to the local library. The favorite ones, I kept.

How much can you sell them for ? Like in percentage, 50% or 30% of the tag price?

@bobosusanwang They have a fixed rate there , its not much, but if we want to get rid of the books and none to take those , thats the better way

Depending on how meaningful the story is I would either keep it or donate it.

I keep the books. If I can't keep them I would sell them.
