Three interesting facts...
If any of you have been on the London Underground you will know it’s rather old and squeaky and very busy, sparks and blue light cackling in the tunnels as the train’s rock, scream and sway underneath London’s bustling streets. You will notice the station names and famous Tube map is color coded. The reason for this is not to make it pretty but deliberate as when they started to build the world’s first underground lines in the 1850s not many Londoners cold read or write and so they simply associated their local station with a colour. The designers also made the tile work on the tunnels leading down to the stations, and in the stations, unique to that connection, against to help illiterate Londoners. Clever aye.
A model car maker
As we know Henry Ford was one of America’s great engineers and entrepreneurs. His Model A & T cars created the assembly lines we know today as he mastered mass production. But he was real smart. An example of that was that his engines were built in one factory and the coach work in another but he incorporated the Model Ts floor as part of the crate the engine was transported in so the worker would chain off the engine and places the crate into the Ford as the floor as the engine was bolted in. Smarter still he made the car affordable enough for his workers so he got a lot of their wages back as they paid off their car monthly, giving him plenty of cash to expand the business.
Gambling...
Do you know why fruit graphics were used on early slot machines? It was simple way to get around gambling laws in US states where it was illegal. You would try to win tokens for your 5 cents when the fruits pictured showed a win by lining up and the bar man would exchange your winning token for cigars or drinks.

meh, unless they are preserved fruits I won't eat them. I wouldn't mind eating from a Pizza vending machine.

I like the Tube stations with the tile. Most are unique.
