2 Year Old Girl Freezes Outside Her Home

United States
February 4, 2018 6:29pm CST
Her mother found her outside freezing and tried to revive her. Unfortunately, she passed away. It was between 12 and 19 degrees there. How did her mother not know she was outside in freezing weather that long? The apartment complex was managed by the Akron Metropolitan Housing Authority said the woman also has a son. What is the answer to this?
The Summit County medical examiner is investigating the case

Oh this is so very sad. I remember when I came home from school one day (this has reminded me) and I had the key to the door to let myself in..I was around 6 or 7. My parents were at work and I could not use the key..for some reason I could not open the door, so it was thick with snow and I went to sit in a corner of the house in the back yard and got frost bite waiting for someone to come home..I guess my parents found me like that.

That is sad to hear. It seems negligence happened in this incident. I hope the girl didn’t escape at night and afraid to be noticed by her mother.
