Couldn't have been torn down the same day it was completed.

Err .. no. That is not what is meant. The coincidence is that the Wall stood for exactly the same length of time as has now elapsed since it was demolished. I don't know how long it took to build, but I'm assuming that Day 1 of the 10,316 would have been the first day after completion.

Yes, I do remember the Berlin Wall and its historic collapse in the hands of both East and West Germans.

Yes, I remember it but never actually saw it in person. My husband did see it back in the day when he was traveling in Germany. That was in the mid 1980s when he was there.

Yes remember it very well. I am so glad when it was torn down. Also watched it on the television.
