The Time I Broke a Lamp

Back when I was about 10 or 11 we lived in a house in Puerto Rico which we were renting. One day my siblings and I decided we should play a game involving the use of house hold objects as imaginary weapons. Me being the smart child I was decided I should use a broom stick as a staff.
It was so much fun playing our imaginations really were something back then. I was so into it I didn't realize how close I was swinging around the broom stick to the ceiling lamps until I heard the mortifying sound of glass shattering. We all froze and looked up to at the glass lamp shade over the bulb, well what remained of it. I knew my @$$ was grass. I told my grandparents, who raised me, what had happened and I got a whooping and was punished. They went to Home Depot and replaced the shade and the landlord was none the wiser.
Tell me a time when you broke something, did you get in trouble? Did you need help fixing it? Was there a happy or bad ending?

Actually, I had a very similar situation..we were playing with a box that the floor lamp came in putting it on our leg and swinging it around. We broke the overhead fixture on the ceiling light. I was freaking out..as my sister and I blamed each other. I had no idea how expensive they were and thought I might be in terrible trouble. My parents weren't upset though..they didn't freak out in the least..Thank God!
