Currently my teenage son and daughter are hiding something from me. When I come near them, they stop talking or talking other language (Japanese), which I can’t understand. As a teenager parents we did our duty suitably. So, why they are not friendly to me?

Teenagers always think they are much cooler than their parents. It's nothing against you, they are being normal teens I think.

Maybe they're planning your surprise birthday or anniversary party and don't want you to know about it. If your children really don't want you to know they'd talk in their rooms and not in front of you. Be patient, with them, and let them know you're curious about it and love them no matter what. Maybe then they'll open up to you. We all had things we didn't tell our parents, it's just children grow up on families. Don't worry and they'll come around.

Well, when I was a teenager, I had some secrets from my parents, but they weren’t very important! I think that if you raised them good, you have nothing to fear!
But if you really want to know, you may as well ask them!! Tell them that you worry that something is wrong, and start a discussion with them!!! Good luck!!
