Custodian praised for finding a lost dog for a school teacher in Omaha

Todd Wilcox who is a custodian at Rockwell Elementary School in Omaha Nebraska was given a huge heroes welcome on Monday for finding a lost dog that belonged to preschool teacher Lexi Caldwell who lost her dog Willow last Thursday when Willow broke loose from her collar as Lexi was giving her dog a walk in the streets.
Wilcox took action to find Willow on Friday morning when Lexi was upset she may lost her dog for good.
Wilcox checked out the area of L Street and 144th Street when he saw Willow who was walking in the streets of Omaha. Wilcox was able to recover Willow who was safe and sound after getting lost for one day.
Lexi was so happy that Todd was able to return her pet dog that during a school assembly at Rockwell Elementary, Wilcox has honored for his good deed by receiving a framed picture of himself and Willow together.

Todd saw that Lexi was sad that she lost her dog and he wanted to do his part to find the dog which he did even though he admitted he was close to giving up to find Willow.i

@DesirousDreamer That is true. The custodian came close to quitting to find the dog before he saw Willow and was able to bring her back to her owner.

That is true since dogs are little children who like to get away from their owners and run around the block.
