Hello, my Lotters !
This morning I had a doctor appointment, so I scheduled a Lyft ride. I was about an hour early to schedule it, but I'm new to the whole Lyft/ridesharing/whatever thing.
So the computer said my ride would be here in about four minutes, so I jumped up and ran outside to wait...and wait...and wait...
I thought, "Uh-oh" this will be the second time a ride hasn't shown up for an appointment." so I went back inside and checked the computer again, looked at the little car icon on the map, on the computer, and he was somewhere else. Then I got a phone call from the driver, and my phone is not the clearest for it was the driver's accent or something, but I think he was having trouble finding my house or he took a wrong turn or something.
So he showed up not much later, and we had a nice chat on the way to the health cernter.
I didn't wait too long in the doctor's office until the doctor came to see me (after the nurse weighed me and took my blood pressure and asked some questions and I filled out this questionnaire).
The doctor prescribed me eyedrops, then said my regular doctor wanted me to do a "p" test, as the last one I had showed to much iron in my "p".
I left after I picked up the eyedrops and went out to the bus stop in front of the health center to try to figure out the schedule. I hadn't taken our local bus in some time, and I found the schedule a bit confusing, but another lady was at the bus stop so I think I decided to take the bus she took.
It wasn't long before the bus came. I had washed my hands before I left the health center, but I tried not to touch anything on the bus--didn't want to leave pinkeye germs all over.
I took the transfer pass the driver offered me when I got on, and when we got to the transfer "hub" I switched to another bus. When I asked the driver if they stopped by my street, she said that they stopped by a street I recognized the name of, so I figured I could walk from there.
The bus went a roundabout way before it got back to the area where I lived, and we passed a street where I should have rang the bell to stop 'cause it was a straight shot to my street, but I went up to the next stop and walked back; it was a nice little walk, and Lord knows I could use more walking.
It was chilly this morning, so I was wearing a long sleeved shirt and a coat, but thankfully I didn't heat up too much before I got home.
That pretty much took all morning, but that was my little "adventure" for the day. I think I'll be learning the bus routes again, because $1.50 for an adult fare on the bus is way cheaper than $12 or somewhere around there for that Lyft ride.
Oh, well, live and learn.
