Peiskos is a Norwegian word.
I sure wish we had a fireplace. It would be wonderful to sit by the fire tonight. It's been in the 20's (Fahrenheit) today where I live in Missouri. We've also had freezing breezes, ice covered windshields and slick streets.
I realize this weather is not uncommon for February, so I'm trying not to make this a whining session. I'll just say that I'm really, really looking forward to Spring!

It is nice to know there is a word to describe that feeling.
But right now it's hot and humid here

Sounds pretty darn cold where you are. Our spring weather faded fast this week, saw our first white stuff. A good Norwegian word here.

Thanks @JamesHxstatic. Our weather has been like a yo-yo! We had Spring-like weather in the 70's last week! It's still cold today, though not quite as bad as yesterday.
