While I am waiting for the next pattern for the sock knitting club to be released on March 1, I will be working on other projects that I have already started. I started this second sock of the pair that I began working on back in November or December of 2017. I wanted to note the year, too, because I am known for having projects that I started years ago!! Anyway, I'm going to concentrate on working on this sock for the next week and hope to be finished with it by the beginning of March.

Very nice. I really never got the hang of knitting anything other than scarfs. I'm much quicker at crocheting. I would like to try to make socks. What weight do you use? Sock yarn itself seems like a pain to work with.

I use sock yarn quite a bit. I also use fingering weight yarn. Really not too bad to work with. Just got to get used to it.

@bluerubymoon53 Do the yarns used for socks have an elastic in them, or does the type of stitch make it stretchable?

@Debscrochet Some sock yarns have nylon which adds to the stretchiness of the sock. Some types of stitches do that, too.
