One of those good things someone was there to rescue you stories from New York City happened on Friday morning.
An unidentified woman who appeared to be in her 30s for some strange reason that is not known as this time jumped into the East River near the intersection of East 34th Street and Franklin D. Roosevelt drive on Friday.
Several strangers tried to get the attention of the woman who jumped into the East River but she did not answer their pleas.
A tugboat that was in the East River managed to make a rescue mission thanks to the crew who were able to get the woman out of danger.
The tugboat took the woman to shore where she was taken to Bellevue Hospital for observation.
It is not clear if the woman jumped into the East River in an attempt to end her life or was it an accident.

This is a case of being in the right place at the right time. The woman would have perished if the tugboat wasn't there.

You are correct allen0187. The crew of the tugboat saved her life.

The East River has a long history of jumpers and floaters.

Thank you for telling me since I did not know that. The last time I visited New York City was in 1976 to visit my relatives who are now deceased or have moved to another state.
