When 1968 came around the best song was by The Beatles “Hey Jude”. The song was written by Paul McCartney and credited to Lennon-McCartney. McCartney wrote the song to comfort Lennon’s son Julian during the time his parents were going through their divorce. It was released in August 1968 as the first single on the Beatles’ record label Apple Records. Since the song lasted for seven minutes it was the longest single to top the British charts. In the U.S. the song topped the charts for nine weeks and went on to sell around eight million copies. In 2013 Billboard named it the 10th biggest song of all time. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hey_Jude

I was never a fan of the Beatles as a group. I liked them more individually.

This is a very classical song and I like it. I remember it is also one of the songs in Olympics in London. When I heard this song, I like it again

I wasn't born when Beatles were really that popular but my parents introduced me to their songs and I even watched their music videos that I became familiar with the lyrics even when I was a kid.

The Beatles would fit the requirements mentioned in my latest post... The Yellow Submarine could be the track

I love that song, along with their Strawberry Fields Forever and Imagine. I was still young when those songs were still popular, but I grew up loving them.
