counting bears with garlic salt for dinner

I mentioned this a bit on Facebook yesterday, but thought it would be fun to share with everyone here. My son was playing in the kitchen while another adult was doing some cleaning in there. While her back was turned, he dumped his container of counting bears into the newly washed skillet on the table. Not a problem, he could entertain himself a bit while stirring the bears with a wooden spoon and pretending to cook. Then she heard the sound of salt being poured into the skillet. Young Sir had decided that the bears needed a bit of seasoning, and dumped half a container of garlic salt on top of them. Fortunately it was easy to clean up!

@thislittlepennyearns Well, he tries. He thinks he's helping. He tries to close the dishwasher door while we're loading it (or opens the dishwasher while it's running).

Yes, we were able to save the bears, but not the garlic salt. We can buy more and it wasn't too much of a mess to clean up. I guess that's what I get for leaving the jar on the table.

Luckily no one is in the habit of snacking on colorful plastic bears around here.

I'm glad he didn't make saffron bears! That would have been tragic. I can pay $3 for another bottle of garlic salt.
