My Crochet Today Door Snake & The Weather

Door Draft Snake
United States
February 25, 2018 3:48pm CST
I sold one today, and finished crocheting another. They're used for putting at the base of a door or window to help keep drafts out. There's winter in some parts. Here in Florida it's a nice and breezy day. High was 85 degrees today. Hard to think of snow and ice when it's this warm here. What's the weather where you are?

At least there is a purpose for this snake. Do you stuff him as you go along or wait until the end before stuffing? THAT'S what I can make with all the scrap yarn I wind up with!

Thanks. I would suggest not to make it as a toy for young children though. It could pose a strangulation or choking risk. Maybe a much shorter one that won't wrap around the neck with sewn on eyes.

This colorful snake looks so cute. This is the only one snake I will like in the world Now it is about 16 centigrades in my city and it is nice as it is sunny now.

Here in Minnesota its still snowing but I can tell the sun is getting stronger as it's just a sloppy mess outside. One day it snows, the next it melts. Can't wait for spring.

It's April 21 and it looks like winter might finally be releasing its icy grip. Love the draft stop snake.

I need one that is like six feet tall that I can hang vertically. I don't know how I would hang it though. See, my sliding class door has an awful draft. In the summer I burn up, and in the winter I freeze. It's truly terrible for my electricity bill.

@Debscrochet That's a smart idea.

The only thing I can think of is hanging by a hook or nail at the top and maybe attaching it to a piece of velcro in the middle and at the bottom

I like this snake. It is very cold here, minus 10 Celsius degrees.
