According to the age-old rhyme, little girls are made of "sugar, spice, and everything nice" while little boys consist of "frogs, snails, and puppy dogs' tails". Here's the thing, though: frogs, snails, and puppy dogs' tails are, in and of themselves, nice. So are those three things also used to make little girls? Are little girls just little boys with more ingredients added? Is that why women are stereotypically seen as being more complicated than men? And what are non-binary children made out of?
