The Hertz receipts

Since Hertz charged me unreasonable fee and then I needed to provide proofs that the tank was full when I returned the car. I am glad that I found the receipts at home.
We filled up the tank in the gas station at about 1:46pm dated Feb.19 and after we returned the car and the staff checked everything was fine, she gave us a receipt and the time was shown at 2:06pm on Feb.19. I even checked the route from Google Maps and the gas station is about 3.5 miles to Hertz, the driving time is about 10 minutes.
Now I think it shall be clear that we did fill up the tank when we returned the car.
Although our membership is Gold in Hertz, which is regarded as VIP, but I felt like we are treated like Very Important Pig rather than Very Important Person.

I heard of something similar that happened to a French in Spain. I suppose that some of these companies can put a special tax on foreigners because it is more difficult for them to start a dispute
. I hope they will refund you, if not I do not see what you can do except leaving Hertz. I would not start a trial for a tank of gas even in my country, sending the subpoena would cost 2 times that.

I am so happy to hear that you found your receipt. And even map it out and have time stamp. With this big headache, honestly you need to be contacted by upper management and demand the frustration + accusing you of not fueling up gas when in fact you did! Not only is this a waste of your time, but I feel like you were being taken advantage of (literally) that is an example of being taken advantage of that I wrote last time. They probably saw that you paid the top price and as a foreigner how would you still have the receipt! Easy money for them. Wrong of them to do such thing and the time you're spending + different time zone to get this settled. That is not right.

I am glad that you understand my situation. I tried to find but only phone number available for USA Hertz. Thinking of buying Skype to make a call, different language, and 16 hours time zone difference etc, how much I wish I could email them. I am glad that I have all the proofs and they are all reasonable. I had to email to China Hertz and they told me to wait for about 2 weeks as they needed to contact USA. What a long time

@infatuatedbby I think I am able to send message to them via Facebook, but not sure whether I can also send my pdf, jpg proofs there. It is very strange that I can't find their email address for customer service.

Now I only emailed to contact Hertz in China. As there is only phone number for Hertz in USA and no customer service email address. If this issue can't be solved here, then finally I have to call to USA. Oh... Spending money to pay for Skype so that I can contact them. Further more, there will be 16 hours for time zone difference. Need to set an alarm clock to wake me up so that I can call them in their business hour... How troublesome! But I will not give it up anyway because I really hate this kind of tricky issues from any companies.

The problem is I filled up the car when we returned the car. However, when we were back to China for at least two days, they suddenly charged us USD63 for fuel charge. Their staff checked the car when we returned it. Everything was fine so that we left. This is why I feel bad as this is troublesome for us to solve this problem.
