Should writing sites allow the discussion of other similar sites?

Some online writing sites do not allow talk of competing sites because they think it will take members away from their site. I don't agree because I think that being able to learn about new sites will keep people coming back to find out more. It doesn't mean they will abandon that site because most people like to belong to several sites. What do you think? Is it a good idea to discuss other successful writing sites? Take ForumCoin and Mylot for instance, we can talk about other sites here and it does no harm whatsoever.

Actually it's good to allow...so that everyone makes help to use of other writing sites too

There should be no restrictions ,so the site can get more traffic.

Yes, i think this is canvassing about those sites here, which i feel any site would tolerate! I don't know about the rules but i feel that would be unethical to do so! This is simply my personal opinion! Thanks @sprite1950!

I think its okay to just mention the sites also. Only thing is I have only ever been on this one the most the other one I was not worth the time.

@lovinangelsinstead21 I have tried out so many different sites, all kinds as well, rewards sites, writing sites, forums, I've tried them all. At the moment I am working on 6 different sites but I think I prefer the writing sites.

Truth is it is GOOD for SEO so the site could benefit from it too if they allow except referral links. Those sites that do not allow it are plain dumb like the defunct Bubblews. :)

@AkoPinay Yes the former site Chatabout was very strict, we could not mention any other earning site even if it had failed and was no more. It eventually disappeared too.
