By my count, I finished my 88th music series earlier today, so I might as well jump right back in with #89. With #89, I am celebrating life itself with my ten favorite songs with "life" in the title. We'll start, of course, with #10: "Life in London" by Pat Travers.
(Let's get this Fun Fact that I Just Learned a Few Minutes Ago out of the way: On tour in the early 80's, bluesy, hard rocking guitarist Pat Travers, after finishing his own concert, grabbed his guitar and headed to a Bauhaus concert, looking to jam. Apparently, that didn't go over very well!)
If you were even a casual hard rock listener in the late 1970's/early 80's, you should remember Travers' radio hits, "Boom Boom (Out Go the Lights)" and "Snortin' Whiskey."
"Life in London" was released prior to either of those, a single from his 1977 album, Putting it Straight.
"Life in London" is one smoking hot tune. I've linked to a live Canadian performance from 1990, featuring some fantastic guitar play from both Travers and Jerry Riggs.
Enjoy!

Lion King's Circle of Life. I love the movie Lion King even if I'm a Senior Citizen. The story is very complete, the songs were phenomenal and I like anime. I hope that another story like it be written. I really love rock operas like
David Bowie's Labyrinth.

@oahuwriter - Oh yes, I watch it every Christmas. I got to see Bowie on the Glass Spider Tour back in the 80's. It was awesome!

Me too. I hope to see Labyrinth again on tv soon. I so enjoy David Bowie's singing. I always thought that he sang like an opera singer. He was so thing and wiry that hearing his booming voice was so wonderful! David gave us such superb entertainment too. I found on youtube a video with Bing Crosby and
David Bowie singing Little Drummer Boy! If you have the time you'd be pleasantly surprised if you see this Christmas Video. Big fan of David Bowie!

He never made it to major stardom but he constantly toured and played small venues.
