I am trying to call my sister who stays in Australia but she was not responding. After a while bothered I called up her husband. Then when I learnt that she dropped her iPhone inside the commode while in the restroom. And now it's left to dry, so she was not responding lol. I don't know if that phone will survive that dip and even if did I can't imagine her using it.

It depends on what model, Iphone 7 and up are rated to resist 3 feet of water for up to 30 minutes. The thought of using it after the accident is a different thing especially if she was in a public rest room

I think it was a iPhone 6 and luckily it wasn't the public or I would have suggested here to flush it down instead

@nitirrbb7 , I searched and it's water resistant if taken out of the water quickly, guess it will survive.

Yeah she had used a dryer but had no idea of the rice. I have suggested her on your advice to put it in rice for two to three days it will definitely work out, what say.

I don't know if I would use it even if it did dry out! lol Putting it in a bowl of rice covered up is suppose to dry it from what I have heard.

I've heard that dipping it in a rice will make it dry quickly. Hope her phone still works.

Yeah she wasn't aware of it told her later about it, but she should think of using it after what the phone had gone through

@nitirrbb7 If her phone is still new and has a warranty period maybe she should take it to the service center if the rice wouldn't work.

I heard if you place a wet phone in some rice it will absorb all the liquid. I spilled my morning coffee on my phone once lol

Yeah that's true it absorbs all the moisture inside the phone. What about your phone was it his last coffee
