Favorite "Life" Songs #7 - "The Secret Life of the Big Black Suit"

It's 60 degrees here in sunny Colorado Springs, and we're celebrating with a weekend of camping. I'm also celebrating life with a countdown of my favorite songs with "life" in the title. We are at #7: "The Secret Life of the Big Black Suit" by Clock DVA. Led by Adi Newton, Clock DVA formed in Sheffield, England, in 1978 (Newton is the only current member.) Clock DVA has been a few things over the years: an experimental electronic group, an industrial dance band, and now, an electronic body music (EBM) act. Which brings us to "The Secret Life of the Big Black Suit," from the band's 1983 album, Advantage (featuring guitarist John Valentine Carruthers, who would move on to membership in Siouxsie and the Banshees on their Tinderbox album.) Simply put, I don't remember anyone sounding quite like this in 1983. Industrial jazz is probably the best way to describe this. Dark and moody and upbeat and it really must be heard.
