When my big brother was here last year, I told him that our house should have plants inside because from what I read on Facebook, there are certain plants that can add fresh oxygen and regulate the humidity levels. Of course with the many electronic gadgets inside our homes, there may be more carbon dioxide emitted than oxygen that can be inhaled. I saw some tiger leaf plants in our garden, and since I cannot tend a plant, I asked my sister and brother if the pots of the tiger leaf plants can be taken inside our house. They agreed, so now, our living room has 4 pots of tiger leaf plants and another one in our comfort room. The picture attached is one of the plants in front of our cabinet of DVD tapes. Do you have some plants inside your houses? They can be decorative and yet they provide us with oxygen. Edited now. We have a total of 9 tiger leaf plants inside our house. 1 in each room too.

By indoor garden, would this mean you have pots of eggplants, bitter gourd, or onions, maybe peas? That is great.

I see. So that's tiger leaf. We have something like that in my province. Don't know what it's called locally

@renicemae i think the Arabian jasmine is the international name for our sampaguita. it has its own generic name. and it is not only in Arabia. probably it originated there, who knows.

@ridingbet What a strange name. Never heard of it. I saw it in my grandma's house and never cared knowing it's name

@ridingbet Oh really? That's a very nice information. Why is it called Arabian Jasmine? Is it only found in Arabia aside from Philippines?

I don't really like indoor plants, I prefer them to be in the garden. The only time I have them is if people gift them to me.

Really? Your garden full of colorful flowers is a great sight to appreciate. Even your avatar is showing how much you care for and tend your garden.

My father was very good at making cuttings and growing that plant. Yes, we have plants at home in our garden window, but not as many as we used to have.

@ridingbet Not being around much, it's just enough for our son to water.

We don't have. Someone from here advises having that kind of plant since I don't have a window in my room.

@JustBhem yes i believe so. it was so humid inside, but with the presence of the tiger leaf plants in our living room, i feel it is not so humid anymore. you can check it for yourself

i think you should have a plant like that in your room even though your room has no window. it can give out oxygen and it does not need constant watering. of course with an enclosed room, the air can get trapped in so all carbon dioxide can stay inside for a long time.

It never occurred to me that the electronic devices would be emitting carbon dioxide.

i think electronic gadgets emit radiation which in turn can affect the carbon dioxide and oxygen in the air.

@ridingbet I need to make sure that the animals or toddler will still be ok if they decide to munch on the plant. I should probably try growing some herbs in a pot inside.

Is your indoor plant succulent or does it need to be watered?

That is one of the reasons why I keep a few indoor plants - the oxygen.

Indeed. This new environment we have now is full of air pollutants that we can hardly breath fresh air. The vehicles drawing out smoke give us respiratory illnesses.
