Lesson - to vs. too

Probably the single biggest misuse of words by both natural English speakers and English as a 2nd language is the confusion of to vs. too.
To with a single o is used to represent direction or movement. I am going to the store. I gave the ball to John. I am up to 200 jumping jacks.
Too with two oo's is used to represent amount or inclusion.
Amount: You have too much time on your hands. Too many people in the elevator.
Inclusion: I want to go too. In your list of animals you missed giraffe too.
Sorry but there is no easier way I know of other than if the need is to represent a direction use to otherwise you need too. (unless you meant the number two) ;)

Nice to meet you. Unfortunately too many people do confuse them.

@JAWwriting You must have noticed that is why you decided to start the discussion.

@mydanods 99% of my posts are writing lessons or my actual writing so I noticed a few using the wrong to/too in responses to my posts so I felt it is a lesson deserving a revisit. I hope you have enjoyed some of my other posts.
