headache is starting to unravel

I thought that I was unwell for an unusually long time this year, but looking back over what I've written elsewhere in the past, it looks like this is a standard pattern. I am apparently sick between late November and late March every year. In fact, I've actually been doing better this year since it didn't hit until after Christmas. Unfortunately, that knowledge doesn't perk up my health or give me more energy or even give me any ideas about what to do about it except know that it will likely improve in a few weeks. I still have a headache, I'm still exhausted, and I still have stuff I need to do in spite of that. Fortunately, this current headache is starting to lift, but I've lost nearly the whole morning and I still have a bathroom to scrub. Original photo by me, titled "Migraine".

I have a big ol' headache right now. I hope yours went away completely and didn't come back.

@spiderdust I drank mostly Coke last night. Maybe I didn't eat enough.

@TheHorse Could be. Sometimes my headaches are affected by the weather too.

Love the artwork. I hate headaches. I have chronic migraines. Could your headaches have to do with the fibromyalgia?

It's possible, although I think it also has to do with my chronic lack of sleep. Unfortunately lack of sleep and fibromyalgia is a chicken-egg situation... they both aggravate each other, but it's hard to say which is caused by which.

@spiderdust I am not very familiar with the details of the disease. I should be since I grew up with someone who has it.

This year I have been ill on and off between the end of November and February. Normally I am so healthy and able to fight off everything but not this winter. I hope your headache lifts, it's so hard trying to function when you have a bad one especially when you have kids to look after. Forget the bathroom and have a rest. You can do it tomorrow!

Oh, but I had little boys in the house this weekend -- my bathroom needs some serious cleaning! I did decide to put it off until tomorrow though, since I didn't think I could manage the cleaners today.

I do have a chronic illness, but I didn't realize that I manifested itself in that kind of pattern.

@spiderdust Kelli, do they know why you are sick every year at those times? I used to get bronchitis and at times sinusitis with it every winter because of my rhinitis and being near people that got sick. This year so far I did not get either and now I have an air purifier and that helps me too I sleep when I fall asleep and no headaches. I hope you can get through the periods that you get sick and feel much better again.
