Anyone Ever Fished Using Lures?

Normally I use shrimp as bait when I fish but I was thinking of getting Lures. Bait is good and I so want to try lures.
I bought one tiny lure but after a day of used I notice the hook got stained.
I think it wasn't a good quality product maybe. And I lost it while fishing due to bad weather.
But I want to buy new lures but good quality. Any Suggestion? Saltwater fishing only.
Have you fished with lures? How did it go?

Always been interested in learning how to fish but no one ever taught me. I do know that I have been out on boats with people who would fish and all of them did use lures if I remember correctly they were shiny and moved about to attract the fish. I don't remember how many fish they caught since it was a long time ago. If someone had tried to teach me I would have been happy because I certainly would not have wanted to learn with worms on hooks.

I know that feeling. I am scared of worms as well. They fright me so much. That's why I buy frozen shrimp from store and use it as bait. I'd be glad to teach you my dear. I recently bought my rod and reel online as soon as they will be here I will make a small video to teach you where to start. It'll be a great pleasure to teach a friend. Although we are not in the same country I would like to be able to help teaching you.
And you may ask as many questions as you want. Fishing is an awesome time pass.

Great you should definitely try it. It's such a pleasure to fish not boring at all. Good distraction.
