Talk about firefighters have a soft spot for stray cats that become part of their families.
The Belmont Fire Station in Greenville South Carolina firefighters saw a stray cat walking outside their building when the firefighters decided to feed the cat a can of chicken.
The cat would become one of the family members of the Belmont Fire Department who was neutered and given the name "Flame."
The firefighters admitted that they kept the story of feeding the stray cat for two years a secret from their boss.
After the cat was adopted the Fire Chief of the fire station agreed to have "Flame" as part of the firefighter company who has become famous both on social media and television shows.
Firefighter Carson Couch said of Flame "He kind of showed up one day and never left."

Every fire station needs a residence cat.

That is true since I remember that dogs used to be the mascots of the firefighters.
