Billboard Hits of 1990 #1: Nothing Compare 2 U

I figured I would jump on the music bandwagon here on myLot, at least for a little while. I didn't want to do a top ten exactly. And since @JohnRoberts loves to make fun of me for being so young (and compared to him, who isn't ), I thought I would throw together some of my favorite songs that were on the Billboard List the year I was born. They aren't in any order, and are for sure NOT in the order that they were on the Billboard list that year, but without further ado. Here goes nothing. The first song in this series is "Nothing Compares 2 U" by Sinead O'Connor. If you have seen the music video, it is probably one of the most recognizable from that year. It's a very simple and almost elegant video of Sinead pouring her heart out in music. (I cant get youtube to load the video to attach it, but I will try to come back and edit it.)

Did you know this is actually a song written by Prince? I didn't know it for years, but he is the person that originally did it.

I saw that on the Wiki page, but didn't know until this morning that that was who wrote it.

Why don't you stick that knife in my back and give it a twist. You were born in 1990!?! Just bury me at this point. I can remember when Sinead was a big deal.

@FourWalls Are you going to admit twisting with Chubby Checker when Chubby Checker was relevant?

Sinead was in the news last year, she apparently went missing or something. I think that's the only thing shes done in a long time. Hey I saw cool bands too!

I remember 1990! I celebrated my 30th birthday by seeing the BoDeans in Valpraiso, Indiana.
