Coincidence?

So, I started keeping a journal back in 2013 and I'm almost done with my fifth journal, so I ordered another from eBay a few weeks back. I got a notification on my phone Wednesday saying that it was delivered in my mailbox, so I was excited, but when I opened the mailbox, I saw a package that was way too small to be a journal, and it even said on the package label that it was a journal, but when I opened it up, there was a strange looking pendant inside, attached to some string. What caught my eye was the strange symbols/writings/glyphs/runes on the pendant. I emailed the seller and they gave me a full refund, but I'm still curious as to how I ended up getting this strange piece of jewelry and what the symbols mean. The package came from China, so I assume that the writings are chinese, but some appear to be something else other than writings, but like ancient symbols, I don't know but if anyone could help me with this, I would be so appreciative.

@Prometheus_Arcanus Do you have to send it back to the seller?

@Prometheus_Arcanus This looks like an Arabic symbol to me.

Ramòn, So, did you ever find out why they sent you that instead of your journal? Did you also find out what the pendant meant or why the mixup?

Ramon, since did you give a rating at all. What nerve they have. They do not help you at all and then ask for a good rating.

Nah, all is still a mystery to me. I tried contacting the seller about the pendant and asking them about its origins, but all they said was "Sorry about the mishap, could you please give us a good rating?"...smh

@Hannihar exactly, but nah I didn't rate them, although I was tempted to be petty
...and I'm not sure if they understood my question, maybe they didn't understand English too well bc the package came from China

Hi. It is possible that it is from old Chinese era. Have you tried asking the seller about it?

I did, but all they did was refund me, and I didn't even ask for a refund

@Prometheus_Arcanus Yeah. They might give you a good insight on what the string is all about and where it came from.
