Saying bad things about a deceased person

When a rich man died here recently, the relatives started saying bad things about him even before he was buried. The things they said about him were unprintable and these relatives were supposed to be making the burial arrangements. I felt sorry for the immediate family of the dead man. I and many persons thought it was uncalled for and a disgraceful thing to be doing. I wish they would let the dead be. How do you feel about people airing their grievances about a dead person? Would you do it if the person did wrong things to you while alive?

They didn't forget. It was done deliberately. To annoy the family and disrupt the burial if possible.

I think it can get complicated, people though are complicated. But I think it's best not to talk about it the main reason certain person is not here anymore.... and nothing can be changed though.

That's what people expect. I have not seen an obituary where they wrote of the bad a person did. They say only the time that the deceased is a good person.
