This is a follow up on my discussion on saying bad things about a deceased. The family of the dead man is planning a very expensive funeral that would involve lots of partying and lots of expenses. I find this odd. When my grandmother died, my parents just did a burial talk and gave food to those that came to witness the occasion. What do you say? Is it any use to do an expensive funeral and burial rites for someone who has died? I believe all that should be done when the person was alive. Why celebrate the dead when you didn’t celebrate them while alive? The casket alone would cost about 300,000 naira which is about $1,000. It is lined with diamonds and has a cross of silver resting on the top. Just to put a dead person to rest? The discussion that prompted this second one. http://www.mylot.com/post/3162390/saying-bad-things-about-a-deceased-person

The money seems to be there. It should be spent on the living, a charity, for example. The family obviously want to show off. How absurd.
