Day 4 Micah 4 Micah 4:1 But in the last days it shall come to pass, that the mountain of the house of the LORD shall be established in the top of the mountains, and it shall be exalted above the hills; and people shall flow unto it. 2 And many nations shall come, and say, Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, and to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for the law shall go forth of Zion, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem. 3 And he shall judge among many people, and rebuke strong nations afar off; and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up a sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more. 4 But they shall sit every man under his vine and under his fig tree; and none shall make them afraid: for the mouth of the LORD of hosts hath spoken it. 5 For all people will walk everyone in the name of his god, and we will walk in the name of the LORD our God forever and ever. 6 In that day, says the LORD, will I assemble her that halts, and I will gather her that is driven out, and her that I have afflicted; 7 And I will make her that halted a remnant, and her that was cast far off a strong nation: and the LORD shall reign over them in mount Zion from henceforth, even forever. 8 And thou, O tower of the flock, the stronghold of the daughter of Zion, unto thee shall it come, even the first dominion; the kingdom shall come to the daughter of Jerusalem. 9 Now why dost thou cry out aloud? Is there no king in thee? Is thy counsellor perished? For pangs have taken thee as a woman in travail. 10 Be in pain, and labor to bring forth, O daughter of Zion, like a woman in travail: for now shalt thou go forth out of the city, and thou shalt dwell in the field, and thou shalt go even to Babylon; there shalt thou be delivered; there the LORD shall redeem thee from the hand of thine enemies. 11 Now also many nations are gathered against thee, that say, Let her be defiled, and let our eye look upon Zion. 12 But they know not the thoughts of the LORD, neither understand they his counsel: for he shall gather them as the sheaves into the floor. 13 Arise and thresh, O daughter of Zion: for I will make thine horn iron, and I will make thy hoofs brass: and thou shalt beat in pieces many people: and I will consecrate their gain unto the LORD, and their substance unto the Lord of the whole earth. Everyone loves good news and times of celebration. Especially when times of trouble have been overwhelming, and everything looked hopeless. It makes the good times even better. God told Micah the day would come when Israel would cast off the days of darkness and they would rejoice. War would cease, and they wouldn’t need their weapons any longer. When you look at the world, see all the bitter news, you wonder when that time will come. Yet it will. God refers here to the end times, when Antichrist will come against all those who call on the name of the Lord, and God will defeat him, and peace will reign. Revelation 11:14 The second woe is past; and, behold, the third woe comes quickly. 15 And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign forever and ever. 16 And the four and twenty elders, which sat before God on their seats, fell upon their faces, and worshipped God, 17 Saying, We give thee thanks, O Lord God Almighty, which art, and wast, and art to come; because thou hast taken to thee thy great power, and hast reigned. 18 And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou should give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and should destroy them which destroy the earth. 19 And the temple of God was opened in heaven, and there was seen in his temple the ark of his testament: and there were lightnings, and voices, and thunderings, and an earthquake, and great hail. It will be a great day when Jesus comes to rule the nations, and Satan will be no more, and everyone will gather in Jerusalem. Revelation 22:1 And he showed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb. 2 In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. 3 And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him: 4 And they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads. 5 And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God gives them light: and they shall reign forever and ever. As Christians, you have a great day to look forward to, the day of Jesus’ return, the day when he will reign in peace, and Satan will be cast down forever. What a glorious day that will be! Let’s pray: Father, we live in troubled times. Yet, I know the day is coming when your Son will return, and cast down Satan, defeating him and sentencing him to hell for eternity. Let your will be done. Help me be patient as I wait for the day of Jesus’ return. In Jesus’ name, I pray, amen. Copyright © 21 March 2018 by Valerie Routhieaux Image courtesy of Pixabay

Yes, there are a lot of people who need to know him and accept him. I'm like you, but we can't have it both ways. God knows best. Have a blessed day.

Imagine everyone gathering in Jerusalem. I have always wanted to go there.
