Twitter: What for?

I use Twitter and I am Running The Galaxies there too. I just post random words or phrases and saying and photos. Just general knowledge and things about life. Ive seen people successful with their "niches" as they call it and their businesses. More than Facebook, they say. But who knows about that. What do you do in Twitter?
